SOUTH NARRABEEN SLSC IN THE COMMUNITY

BUSH TO BEACH

Since the program commenced in 2006, South Narrabeen SLSC has hosted hundreds of Aboriginal children and their carers from Brewarrina in western NSW for a fun weekend of activities and water safety education.

It is an enormously successful program that’s only made possible by our club's dedicated and passionate volunteers. For many it’s the first time they have seen traffic lights, let alone the ocean. This is much more than a weekend of fun activities - it’s a chance for the children to learn vital water safety skills and continue to develop the strong links between our two communities.

This is a grass roots initiative by South Narrabeen SLSC.

PUB2PUB CHARITY FUN RUN AND FESTIVAL

The Pub2Pub Charity Fun Run and Festival is proudly organised by the Rotary Club of Brookvale.

The challenging race, starts with a 800m sand start from the Dee Why Surf Club and winds its way via the back streets along the beaches providing the participants with some spectacular scenery along our magnificent coastline, joining the pack this year at Mona Vale will be the short course runners and walkers. Finishing for the first time in 2015 with a spectacular festival at picturesque Newport Beach.

South Narrabeen SLSC contribute their services to the day by running a drinks stations on the Pittwater Road side of the Surf Club and also provides road marshals.
