NIPPERS AGE GROUPS

Listed below are the age groups that junior members will be in for the 2025/26 season if they are born between the following dates:
The age group for the season is determined as at midnight on the 30th of September at the commencement of that season.

• U6*  1st October 2019 to 30th September 2020
• U7    1st October 2018 to 30th September 2019
• U8    1st October 2017 to 30th September 2018
• U9    1st October 2016 to 30th September 2017
• U10  1st October 2015 to 30th September 2016
• U11  1st October 2014 to 30th September 2015
• U12  1st October 2013 to 30th September 2014
• U13  1st October 2012 to 30th September 2013
• U14  1st October 2011 to 30th September 2012

* Note: Children must have reached 5 years before they can be registered.  They can still start nippers after the season commences, as soon as they turn 5.  This is a national standard. Email us to discuss options for 4 year-olds who will turn 5 during the season.
A child may join a club when they turn five years of age. No SLSC is to accept membership of a child until they have reached the age of five years to comply with insurance requirements. A child who turns five after the 30th of September of that season can join for the remainder of the season, but will also stay in the U/6 for the following season according to SLSNSW.
