South Narrabeen SLSC uses Life Saving Online for new memberships, existing member renewals and transfers from other Clubs. Life Saving Online lets you not only do all of this but lets you access your Surfguard details too and check awards and other details in a secure online environment.

Membership Fees 2017/2018
* A family is defined as two parents plus their children up to age 18
Register with Surf Lifesaving Online. Each individual must join up as this is their membership and the declaration must be accepted. You will need to create and activate an account first click Create Account at the top of the Surf Lifesaving Online page and choose the Attempt Email Only option as the easiest method.
Once you have filled out all your information or checked to see if existing contact details are correct, the system will then prompt you to pay online using Visa or MasterCard.
After entering your chosen payment method, your application will be processed and a receipt provided.
For all new members aged 18 and over, download a Member Protection Declaration Form, complete, print and return to the club registrar.

Step 6: Make yourself aware of Work Health and Safety requirements and Workers Compensation

If you have suffered an illness or injury while performing authorised surf lifesaving activities, Workers Compensation may be payable under the Workers Compensation (Bush Fire, Emergency and Rescue Services) Act 1987. Please note WorkCover NSW is now called iCare.
Step one: Immediately notify your supervisor or club official such as your patrol or club captain.
Step two: The injury or incident must be recorded in the logbook and Incident Reporting Database (IRD) by a nominated club official as soon as possible.
Step three: Complete the Workers Compensation Claim Form including witness details and send it directly to iCare Workers Insurance within 48 hours of injury. This can be done via fax: 02 9287 4828 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. A copy of this form is not required to be sent to Surf Life Saving NSW however please retain a copy for your records.If your injury will keep you away from paid employment for at least 7 days you will need to contact iCare immediately on 1800 221 960.
Step four: Provide any documents required to assess the claim.
Step five: If you require medical treatment, approval must be obtained from iCare prior to the commencement of treatment (unless the treatment is needed in case of an emergency).iCare will assess a Workers Compensation claim and advice if liability has been accepted or declined after all the official documentation has been provided.
Step six: The injured member must have a Return to surf duties form completed prior to resuming patrols, competition, training or other duties (carnival official etc).
